The Savvy Reader

I know… it’s been a while. (Hangs head in shame)

But, to make up for it I am going to post the VERY BEST links you have ever seen! (From the book world, this week, hopefully.)

1. 20 celebrities with stunning home libraries. Simply amazing. I’m a huge fan of Jimmy Stewart’s and, surprisingly, Sting’s. It’s also really cool to see what Agatha Christie’s library looks like.

2. Jane Lynch has a message for Canadians about her new book, Happy Accidents.

3. The Toronto Sun gives you ‘The lowdown on breakups‘ and chats with Lindsey Kelk, author of The Single Girl’s To-Do List here.

4. We can’t stop talking about Kevin Wilson’s The Family Fang. It’s quirky, it’s touching, it has performance art and potato cannons… What more could you want? Check out the New York Times Book Review entitled, ‘Mom and Dad and the Two Kids They Damage‘.

5. There’s been a lot of chatter about book trailers. Mel from He Followed Me Home discussed it on her blog, and there was this article in The Toronto Star a couple weekends ago.

Here’s the new trailer for Kenneth Oppel’s This Dark Endeavour. What do you think? What do you think about book trailers in general? Let us know in the comments, or tweet to us @SavvyReader.

Ok, that’s it from me!

Happy Reading,
