Last March we at the Savvy Reader fell in love with a wonderfully charming book by Susan Juby, The Woefield Poultry Collective. We weren’t the only ones.
Some of the biggest champions of this book live out in Alberta and work at Indigo South Edmonton Common. Their hard work and love for Woefield caught author Susan Juby’s eye…
“Jodey, Janice and Jaimie and the rest of the team have sold, at last count, 155 copies. Yes, you read that right. Let’s show that one in initial caps, shall we? One Hundred and Fifty Five Copies! The booksellers at Indigo have been tireless advocates for Pru and company. They’ve been so great that Hen asked to go and live with them at Indigo. She felt she’d be properly appreciated there and so she has been.” — from Susan Juby’s blog
Of course we wanted to hear all about Hen’s adventures in the big city of Edmonton and the wonderful staff at Indigo South Edmonton Common delivered. Here’s what Hen has been up to:
For more on Hen’s adventures visit her tumblr.
Hen making herself at home with her favourite book.
Hen meeting the staff at Indigo (she’s quite the social butterfly, we hear)
Hen enjoying a girls night.
Treats! Jealous! I hope Hen remembers how much us Savvy Readers love cupcakes…
That Hen, always finding trouble…
Rock and a roll, and even a few rides too!
Oh Hen, making new friend. Don’t worry, that neck grip is just him saying hi.
Thank you Indigo South Edmonton Common for sharing Hen’s adventures with us. For more farm fun and adventure check out Susan Juby’s The Woefield Poultry Collective.
