We’re now through Week 2 of Tommy Europe’s The 10-Pound Shred. Today we’re checking in with Team Shake Weight to see how they’re doing, and what they have learned (and, bonus, whether or not their team leader can beat Tommy Europe himself in an arm-wrestling match!).
Team Shake Weight does not mess around. We took to this challenge like champs and we’re all going strong. None of us really knew what to expect out of this, but we all hoped that what we would learn will keep going even after the challenge is done. Let’s be honest here, if Tommy Europe gives you advice on how to be fit you take it seriously and to heart. We’ve been keeping up with our workouts, balancing out our diets and supporting each other the whole way. No teammate shall be left behind! Today we talk a little bit about what we have learned so far.
Carolyn @CarolynOvell:
Tommy Fail – Sleeping at my desk. Tommy Fix – Building workouts into my daily routine! Ok, so maybe I won’t do resistant band curls at my desk forever, but in order to conquer my inner lazy, Tommy’s taught me how to look for ways to move more on a daily basis. Oh, and squeeze things when you hold them. It will give you GIANT biceps.
Jennifer:
Tommy Fail - Lugging tiny boxes around. Tommy Fix – Lifting HUGE boxes over my head! OK, really, it’s not safe to life giant boxes over your head, but the point is to challenge yourself and gradually aim to lift heavier weights and build muscle. As a working mom I don’t have a ton of time to do traditional work-outs, but Tommy’s taught me that having tangible goals are a better way to motivate me and keep moving forward.
Jason @albatross15:
Tommy Fail – Chugging sugar filled pop. Tommy Fix – Enjoying some good clean water! My problem has always been my diet. Not in the sense that I eat too much, but that I eat too little. I often go on one meal a day and sometimes I don’t even eat at all, so I often run low on energy. Through Tommy I’ve learned that if I want to be completely healthy, balanced meals will play an important role. After two weeks things are going great and I feel a lot better. Hopefully I can keep it up!
Brad @Bradicalism:
Tommy Fail – Gorging myself on sweet snacks. Tommy Fix – Snacking on delicious healthy veggies! I went into this challenge to fight the one thing in my life I have always feared: a beer belly. I am an active guy, I work out 3-4 days a week, I play basketball, I run, and overall I have a healthy diet. But I like beer. My goal for this 30 day shred is to dominate and destroy my blossoming beer child. Tommy’s 30 day shred is the perfect solution. I’ve learned that moderation and healthier portions are what’s best. Now a one month, full force attack designed to help rapidly reduce excess fat and drop weight is halfway done. Wish me luck!
