Nonfiction Readers and Visual Learners, this one’s for you! In The Big Shift, John Ibbitson and Darrell Bricker argue that Canada, one of the world’s most consensual countries, is polarizing. They believe that trends in Canada are torn between the west versus the east, suburban versus urban, immigrants versus old school; even coffee drinkers versus consumers of energy drinks! Where to you stand? According to Ibbitson and Bricker, the winners—in politics, in business, in life—need to figure out where the people are and go there too.

Would it be possible to clarify the following two statistics in the “Immigration: By the numbers” section of the infographic above. It seems they are missing one verb each.
i) 60% of Vancouver’s foreign born population by 2031
ii) 63% of Toronto’s foreign born population by 2031
After watching the authors talk at the 2013 CBA conference on CPAC, might the statistics be intended to read:
I) 60% of Vancouver’s population by 2031 will be foreign born
II) 63% of Toronto’s population by 2031 will be foreign born
Thank you for any clarification that can be provided.
