The Daniel Plan Staff Challenge – Tea!

The Daniel Plan Day #8: Tea!

Minus a few headaches earlier in the week, I find myself adjusting nicely to a caffeine-free life… until I get home. I expected to miss coffee or tea when I thought I needed it most–in the mornings, before a big meeting, at 5 o’clock before a night out–but it seems, actually, I miss it on the evenings and weekends. I’m sure my fellow bookworms aren’t surprised by this, since there really is no better combination than a really great book, a warm blanket and a cup of good tea. Upon coming home after a stressful day, I was ready to dive into my book when I realized that all of my tea contained caffeine!

The next day on my walk home from work I stopped at David’s Tea to find some caffeine-free alternatives, and man do they have a lot! Below, I’ve shared my favourites for my fellow readers and tea-drinkers:

Forever Nuts: Forever nuts is perfect for anyone who loves to snack on almonds. It contains almond slices, apple bits, cinnamon bark and beetroot that makes it turn an awesome shade of pink within seconds; it’s not just delicious, but fun to drink!

Mother’s Little Helper: Perfect when reading right before bed, David’s Tea promises that you’ll feel like you’ve spent the day at a spa after one sip. With its mix of chamomile, peppermint and lemongrass, they’re definitely right.

Sleigh Ride: Cinnamon, apples, raisins, almonds, and hibiscus combine for a tea that is sweet, tart, and festive… It was perfect while reading Karen Swan’s Christmas at Claridge’s!

David’s Tea also has a Caffeine-Free Starter Kit, which contains sample sizes of 12 teas, including two I’ve listed above. It was incredibly handy, and I have already bought some as Christmas gifts this year!
