In case you missed it, the Scotiabank Giller Prize announced their 2015 longlist a few weeks ago. This morning, in downtown Toronto, Rick Mercer hosted a press conference to reveal which of the books nominated made it to the exclusive shortlist.
Of the twelve books nominated, the five finalists are as follows: André Alexis for his novel Fifteen Dogs, Samuel Archibald for his story collection Arvida, Rachel Cusk for her novel Outline, Heather O’Neill for her story collection Daydreams of Angels and Anakana Schofield for her novel Martin John.
As some of you may know, I am a HUGE fan of Heather O’Neill and am so excited to see both Heather’s collection and Rachel’s novel on the shortlist.
