Bookmarks: August 5th

Happy August, Savvy Readers! We are now eight months into this year’s 50 Book Pledge – can you believe it? We’re kicking off this month with some fantastic August reads (see them here!). Are any of our picks on your TBR? Well get ready, because the bookish news I’m about to share might add a few more titles — and goodies — to your list…

1. These Books Make Us Want to Shout Loudly!

As you all know, we love shouting about books here at The Savvy Reader. Well, the Women’s Voices campaign makes us shout even louder! Featuring some of our favourite writers, Women’s Voices is devoted to sharing diverse female perspectives and is running all month long. Click here to find out more about the campaign and don’t forget to share your thoughts with us on Twitter using #WomensVoices2016!

Guys, I’m totally pin-ing for these pins! (Get it? Get it?) Enamel pins are all the rage these days so it’s no surprise that cute bookish pins exist. I loved swooning over these gorgeous pins that Buzzfeed Books rounded up this week. Do you have a favourite out of the bunch?

3. Get Ready for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them!

Do you have a book hangover now that you’ve finished The Cursed Child? You’re not
alone! The good news is that Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is just around the corner and the trailer looks amazing. To make things even more exciting, the covers for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them: Magical Characters & Places Coloring Book and The Case of the Beasts were revealed this past week! What do you think!?
