Our Favourite August Bookstagrams

Hey, hey!

At The Savvy Reader, we sure are big lovers of Bookstagram. I mean, we practically drool over the lovely, creative photos each month (day). Today, we’ve rounded up some of our favourite Bookstagram pictures from this month. Send us a link to your September Bookstagram photos @SavvyReader and maybe yours will be featured next!

I spy SO MANY great books in this picture including Simon vs. the Homosapiens Agenda, This Savage Song, Allegiant…

This simple, but beautiful image of the best thing in the world (books)

One of our Featured Reads this month was The Muse – *cover crush*

ICYMI: Frenzy Presents happened in August, and it was a wonderful time that this (beautiful) picture can only begin to describe…

Happy Book Birthday to THE HATING GAME by Sally Thorne! 🎉 . I actually started this last night and I couldn't put it down. So far it's the perfect summer book, a workplace rom-com that's sassy and saucy. 💋 . Here's a synopsis: Nemesis (n.) 1) An opponent or rival whom a person cannot best or overcome. 2) A person’s undoing 3) Joshua Templeman Lucy Hutton has always been certain that the nice girl can get the corner office. She’s charming and accommodating and prides herself on being loved by everyone at Bexley & Gamin. Everyone except for coldly efficient, impeccably attired, physically intimidating Joshua Templeman. And the feeling is mutual. Trapped in a shared office together 40 (OK, 50 or 60) hours a week, they’ve become entrenched in an addictive, ridiculous never-ending game of one-upmanship. There’s the Staring Game. The Mirror Game. The HR Game. Lucy can’t let Joshua beat her at anything—especially when a huge new promotion goes up for the taking. If Lucy wins this game, she’ll be Joshua’s boss. If she loses, she’ll resign. So why is she suddenly having steamy dreams about Joshua, and dressing for work like she’s got a hot date? After a perfectly innocent elevator ride ends with an earth shattering kiss, Lucy starts to wonder whether she’s got Joshua Templeman all wrong. Maybe Lucy Hutton doesn’t hate Joshua Templeman. And maybe, he doesn’t hate her either. Or maybe this is just another game. ✨ . Pick up your copy of The Hating Game today! On sale now from @harpercollinsus @wmmorrowbks 🤓

Must-read, must-read. And a beautiful shot!

Good morning, bookish friends! 🌞 I've been reading an ARC of As I Descended by Robin Talley the last few days, and I'm amazed I've been able to sleep at all. It's a modern-day retelling of Macbeth, and it is so freaking creepy! I'm a total wuss when it comes to scary stuff, but I'm loving this dark, creepy book...even if I do want to stick it in the freezer a la Joey from Friends when he was reading The Shining. Be sure to watch for As I Descended on September 6th! I took this pic yesterday to cover several different challenges but then didn't have a chance to post it, so I'm doing these a day late! #serialtalesinaugust Back to School (book set in school) #bookishaugustbr Girl on Cover #rfabaugust16 Book & Candle . . . #amreading #currentlyreading #bookstagram #booknerd #booklove #bookporn #bookaddict #bookaholic #bookblogger #booknerdigans #reading #ireadya #youngadult #yalit #bookphotography #bookphoto #bookstagrammer #bibliophile #bookworm #bookish #igreads #bookgram #instabook #booksbooksbooks #ilovebooks #lgbtqreads
