Our New Years Resolutions

IT’S ALMOST 2017! That means we’re making our New Years resolutions (and trying to find books that will help us keep them….). So, we’re going to share them with you so you can hold us to them. And then send us yours so we can do the same for you 😉.

My New Year’s Resolution is to get back in the habit of reading more. 2016 was such a busy, stressful year I failed miserably in meeting my reading goals. So I’ll be repledging my #50BookPledge and probably starting with The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck so 2017 is a lot healthier, happier and worry-free than the previous year.

My new year’s resolution is to listen to more audiobooks. I always enjoy it (especially if the narrator is amazing), so I want to make an effort to enjoy this medium more. If you have any recommendations, please send them my way! (And, if you’re looking for our recommendations, check out this post.)

I want to cook healthier dishes and understand what is negatively effecting my well-being, so in 2017, I’ll be reading Hot Detox.

My New Year’s resolution is to get outside more – less staying inside and watching Netflix and more going outside and exploring the city. I’m hoping something like Robin Esrock‘s The Great Global Bucket List will help inspire me!

In 2017, I definitely want to start cooking more meals (AKA stop relying on my mom). With the 100 easy, accessible and even healthy recipes that Thug Kitchen 101 offers, I don’t think I have any excuses…

2017 is the year that I’m going to aggressively pursue some of my goals. It won’t be easy, so I’m really looking forward to reading Grit, The Power of Passion and Perseverance by Angela Duckworth to help me through the rough patches.

My New Years resolution is to work with tarot cards more and try to get more in tune with them so I can produce more accurate readings. The Wild Unknown Tarot Deck and Guidebook will help me better understand the cards and play around with new spreads.
