Happy Friday, Savvy Readers! How has your week been? Has it been full of great books? As always, ours has been full of fun book news, links, and photos. Keep reading to find out what happened in the book world this week or “Bookmark” this post to read later!

1. Hidden Figures Picks Up (Three!) Oscar Noms

Yesss! As many movie buffs know, the Academy Award nominations were announced this week. As a bookworm who loves movies, Best Adapted Screenplay is one of my favourite categories. This year is no different, especially since Hidden Figures has been nominated for it! If you haven’t read Margot Lee Shetterly‘s amazing book inspired by the black mathematicians and engineers who worked at NASA during the space race, I’d highly recommend it. Learn more about Hidden Figures here.

2. Good Omens Coming to Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett Fans

Well this is a sign for good things to come! It was announced in the past week that Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett‘s beloved book, Good Omens, will be adapted into a miniseries by Amazon in 2018. Who’s down for a re-read? Click here to find out more about Good Omens, and here to find out more about the miniseries.
