Helloooo Savvy Readers, and happy weekend! I don’t know about you, but my weekend was *booked* before the week began—seriously, my TBR pile is HUGE right now. So, yeah, you know where to find me..
The 50 Book Pledge
We currently have over 4,800 readers pledging to read with us in 2017! Think about all of the reading we could accomplish together!! I mean, we’ve already read 30% of 150,000 books (that’s over 46,300 books!!!) this year, so we’re definitely on the right track to meeting that goal. Need some ideas of what to read next? Check out this list!
This Week’s Featured Read
This week, we read The Women in the Castle by Jessica Shattuck. This incredible piece of historical fiction follows three women, brought together during the aftermath of World War II. It’s a story that deals with loss, identity, endurance, female friendships, and so much more. Read our review here! And here’s what our fellow readers thought:
“…the story is immediately interesting, and provides suspense and mystery as it unfolds over the course of several years.” – Mary, Amazon
“The Women in the Castle is a tour de force in a sea of historical fiction. Its exploration of uncharted territory by bringing forth a whole new angle to stories set in World War II lifts this book among the best pieces of literature out there.” – Lashaan, Bookidote
“A great story to read. Will remember this one for a very long time.” – Antonello, Indigo
“The storytelling grabs you IMMEDIATELY!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!” – Elyse, Goodreads
