Hi Savvy Readers! The weekend is finally here and — even better — it’s a long weekend, which means there’s more time for reading and catching up on this week’s book news. It’s true – Killer Crime Club features some of our favourite female crime, thriller, and mystery writers and you can be a part of it all! Join the club here and participate in the first Killer Crime Club meeting — featuring Sara Paretsky and Jacqueline Winspear — at the Appel Salon in Toronto on April 19th. Hurrah! Nothing warms our heart as much as news stories like this one from BBC, who notes that libraries in the UK are not only still alive — they’re thriving! BBC reports that more young readers are taking advantage of their libraries’ resources. Now THAT’S great news. Read more about it here.

3. Barbara Gowdy Writes Through Chronic Pain
