Happy Friday, Savvy Readers! After a warm start to the week we’re finally enjoying some Fall-like weather here in Toronto and it’s making us extra excited for fall books (and movies)! 1. Annihilation Teaser Trailer Released

2. Emma Watson’s “Our Shared Shelf” Announces New Book Club Pick
We love Emma Watson and her fantastic book club “Our Shared Shelf“! This week she announced their book of the month: Savvy Reader and Women’s Voices favourite Hunger by Roxane Gay! 3. VERY EXCITING DUMPLIN’ MOVIE NEWS
Yes, the heading did deserve to be in all caps: Julie Murphy, author of Dumplin’ and Ramona Blue, shared the news this week that none other than Dolly Parton (!!!) will be writing original music for the Dumplin’ movie! The book’s protagonist, Willowdean, is a huge Dolly Parton fan so this is incredibly exciting. Click here to read more about this dream collaboration.
4. Your Book Collection Could Win You a Prize

This is a book lover’s dream! According to Bustle Books, a woman has recently won a prize for her rare book collection. Jessica Kahan — whose personal library has won her a book collecting prize before — took home $1,000 in prize money for her curated collection. Click here to read more about it!
