Great news for Historical Fiction lovers! Both The Dutch Wife by Ellen Keith and The Home For Unwanted Girls by Joanna Goodman became INSTANT Canadian bestsellers last week! These two novels are both beautifully written with rich storytelling and captivating characters. Congratulations to both authors!  2. Claudia Dey Reveals the Cover of Heartbreaker

Just LOOK at how beautiful the cover for Heartbreaker is! Heartbreaker tells the story of Billie Jean Fontaine, who disappears from a remote northern town one night in her bare feet. Told from the different perspectives of Billie Jean’s daughter, her dog, and a charismatic teenage boy, this story is unique, wry, and brilliant. Heartbreaker hits bookshelves this August! 3.  A Rise in Human-Meets-Fish Love Stories?

The New Yorker noticed an interesting trend this week. With the release of movies and books like Guillermo del Toro’s  “The Shape of Water” and Melissa Broder’s The Pisces, love stories between humans and sea creatures are becoming more and more popular.
