The Toronto Public Library recently hit a very impressive milestone: it became the very first library in the world to lend 20 million ebooks. That’s a lot of reading!!
The TPL digital collection started in 2007 and quickly grew in size and following. Last year, the collection boasted over 170,000 titles, and ebooks were borrowed over 4.6 million times.
And what was the 20 millionth ebook to be borrowed? Feeling Good, a cognitive behavioral therapy book by David D. Burns from 1980. Read more about the milestone here.
