2. Keep Your Books During the Kondo Craze!

Have you read The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo? Or maybe you’ve watched her new Netflix show Tidying Up? Marie Kondo is the creator of the Kondo Method, the Japanese art of decluttering and organizing your home. Well the book world was aflutter, as Kondo says you should only keep objects that “spark joy”, thus throwing away some of your book collection.  Kondo has clarified this week that it’s all about what you value. If books matter to you, then they deserve a place in your home. Thank goodness! What do you think, Savvy Readers? Could you get rid your books to keep your house minimalist? 3. Matt Haig Tells Us Not to Worry about Our Giant TBR Pile

And on the subject of tidying up, an excerpt of Matt Haig‘s new book Notes On A Nervous Planet ran in the Toronto Star about why having so many books is a good thing. Read what he thinks about it here and find out more about his new book here!

  1. My house is tiny, so I have to be a minimalist when it comes to physical books in my house. Thank goodness for ebooks!
