SO MANY books are getting the screen treatment, and the CBC collected trailers for all of them into one convenient place! What a time to be alive! Scroll through at the link below and let us know which ones you’re most excited for! So far, the adaptations of The Art of Racing by Garth Stein, and Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark by Alvin Schwartz look AMAZING (and terrifying, Alvin Schwartz, geez!)! Let the viewing begin! Check out the full list here.

2. Singer and memoirist Lily Allen shared “The books that made me” and I creeped hard

I don’t know what it is, but I LOVE hearing about what people are reading. I’m just nosy that way! I feel like the reading experience is a very personal one, and that when someone shares the way it made them feel or the line of thought it sparked in them, you learn so much about them! That’s why I was tickled pink by this dip into the books that made singer and memoirist Lily Allen the woman that she is. I mean, When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit by Judith Kerr? Hell yes. Indulge me, Savvy Readers: what books made you? Are there any others that you share from Allen’s list? Let us know in the comments below!

3. Netflix announced a five-part series based on Jeff Sharlet’s The Family

Hoooooooooooo boy, Savvy Readers! Netflix just announced this five-part docu-series based on Jeff Sharlet’s The Family and I already KNOW this is gonna be a binge watch for me. The series launches on Netflix Friday, August 9th and will be launching in my “Watch Again” category thingy Saturday August 10th, thanks. Check out the announcement here and let me know what snacks you want. You’re all invited to my viewing party.

That’s all from me, Savvy Readers! Is there anything we missed? Tell me: what’s everyone been binging lately? What books made you the person YOU are? I want to hear it all! Let me know in the comments below, or over on twitter at @SavvyReader!

Happy Reading!
