1. HarperCollins announces actor Simu Liu’s memoir!


Simu Liu, actor on the award-winning CBC comedy series Kim’s Convenience and currently slated for Marvel Studio’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, is writing a memoir! The memoir will recount his complicated childhood, including the weight of immigrant family expectations. You can read all about it here!

2. Alisha Rai got to create her dream dating app with The Right Swipe.

The Right Swipe author Alisha Rai tells Bustle that, “on a selfish note, I also wanted to create my dream dating app, and I don’t know enough about technology to do it outside of the confines of a fictional world”—so she wrote a book! The Right Swipe follows Rihannon, creator of the dating app of Rai’s dreams, Crush.
