Yup, it’s that time again, Savvy Readers! Voting for the 2019 Goodreads Choice Awards has officially started, and we couldn’t be more excited! Some of our favourite books of 2019, including The Dutch House and Inside Out, are nominated, so be sure to cast your votes today.
2. The Broken Hours is the next Globe & Mail bookclub choice!
This month’s Globe and Mail bookclub choice is The Broken Hours by Jacqueline Baker, as chosen by Esi Edugyan herself! The Broken Hours is a compelling, creepy novel that sees H.P. 3. Collins has announced that the word of the year is “climate strike”
In news I think we can all get behind, Collins Dictionary has officially named “climate strike” the word of the year! Climate strike, a form of protest that initially took off with the incredible work of Greta Thunberg, swept the world, as millions of students across the world took part in organized efforts to demand political action on climate change.
