Are you ready for the weekend, Savvy Readers? After the time change this Sunday, you may have felt this week drag on, or maybe it sped by. Either way, let’s celebrate making it through another tough week! But before we get to all that weekend fun, let’s take a look at what happened this week.

1.The 2020 Lambda Literary Award nominations are out, and these three AMAZING books made the list!

This week, O, The Oprah Magazine announced the 2020 Lambda Literary Award nominations. Without further ado, join us in sending a big congratulations to Lisa Jenn Bigelow‘s Hazel’s Theory of EvolutionJaye Robin Brown‘s The Meaning of Birds, and Saundra Mitchell‘s All the Things We Do in the Dark! All three of these amazing books have been nominated in the LGBTQ children’s/young adult category. 2. Deb Spera’s Call Your Daughter Home is coming to Netflix.

Netflix has acquired the rights to Deb Spera‘s Call Your Daughter Home and will develop it as a potential series. The book was published in June 2019 by Park Row Books and is set in 1924 South Carolina. The story follows three women who seemingly have nothing in common, yet as they unite to stand up to injustices that have long plagued the small town, they find strength in the bond that ties women together. 3. Entertainment Weekly released an excerpt of Tahereh Mafi’s Imagine Me!
