Another week has come and gone, Savvy Readers. Can you believe it’s almost July already?! We can’t, but we sure are looking forward to a shortened work week. This week was jam-packed with exciting news, so let’s get to it!
1. The Henna Artist won the spring #HCCFanChoice!
Earlier this week, HarperCollins Canada put out a call to fans on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to help choose the best book of Spring 2020. After tallying all the votes, it was announced that Alka Joshi‘s The Henna Artist took home the prize! The other titles that were up for the prize were The Glass Hotel, The Library of Legends, and Truths I Never Told You. Find out more about The Henna Artist here.
2. David A. Robertson has a new podcast!
Award-winning author David A. Robertson teamed up with CBC to launch a podcast that details a missing piece of his ancestry that led the father of five on a journey of self discovery. This podcast sounds amazing and I can’t wait to binge listen to it this weekend! Learn more about Kīwew here.
3. There is a huge Pride sale happening at Indigo right now!
If you’re looking for some books to help celebrate Pride even after June is over, Indigo has you covered! Right now, you can pick up a HUGE selection of YA LGBTQIA+ books for 30% off!
